Migration Films Festival

The festival, hosted by Türkiye, which has welcomed millions of immigrants throughout history, set out to raise awareness on the issue by emphasizing that immigration is a common story experienced by all nations, regardless of the time period.

The Honorary President of the festival was Oscar-winning actor F. Murray Abraham, an Assyrian immigrant of Syrian origin, and the Jury President of the “Feature Film Competition” was Palme d’Or-winning director Nuri Bilge Ceylan. The festival, which screened 45 films from 30 countries in one week, reached approximately 30 million viewers worldwide with master classes, workshops, concerts and new generation exhibitions using the latest technologies.
