Japan’s 5000 Years of Cultural Heritage Exhibition

The friendship between Türkiye and Japan, which began with the tragic story of the Ertuğrul Frigate, was reinforced with an exhibition held in Topkapı Palace in 2010.

The exhibition, which includes 47 paintings, sculptures and handicrafts from a period of 5000 years, included many works, from the flame-shaped bowl, which is the symbol of the beginning of Japanese art, to representations of Buddhism art, Buddha statues and tea ceremonies.

The “5000 Years of Japanese Art Exhibition”, whose opening ceremony took place on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 14:30 at the Topkapi Palace Museum, lasted until the last day of June.
