Civilization Heritage Exhibition

Designed to offer an alternative to the civilization crisis of today’s world filled with bigotry, prejudice, hatred, terror, violence and wars, the “Civilization Heritage Exhibition” took its inspiration from the peaceful interaction of civilizations in the past.

The “Civilization Heritage Exhibition” offers a general perspective on how and in what way Asian, European, American and African civilizations can live together in harmony in the future, based on their shared past and values. Maps of “Ancient Civilizations” and “Rivers Flowing West” were displayed on 2 illuminated map screens. Meanwhile, the documentary “The River Flowing Towards West”, prepared by a team that has produced various BBC documentaries with the consultancy of experts on the subject, could be watched with the help of a projector. The exhibition, which was brought to life in 2016 at the Kocaeli Book Fair with the support of the “Alliance of Civilizations” initiative within the United Nations together with the Kingdom of Spain, was met with a large number of visitors in an area of 300 m2.
