Ibn Khaldun

Educational activities had started at Ibn Khaldun University, whose establishment had been completed in 2015, but the main compound was yet to be constructed. The University taking inspiration from the famous sociologist and historian Ibn Khaldun, after which it was named, aimed to raise qualified generations who better understood and grasped the connection between past and future in the field of social studies, who envisioned their view of the future according to that understanding and understood 3 languages.

Ibn Khaldun University, in order to design its educative instruments and to enact an exemplary and leading project in this field, has deemed suitable to start a project competition with the method of “Architectural Concept Project Delivery Service Procurement with International Invitation”

In 2017 certain parameters such as the physical and functional properties of Ibn Khaldun University, the main expression and coding element of a civilization that veawes the primary axes of the civilization have been designated as visual and intellectual images. The competition specification and design idea was prepared by reinterpreting the designated parameters to the needs and by including them in the area of usage.
