Eskişehir Nowruz

Nowruz, which is the beginning of the spring in northern hemisphere, is a shared cultural heritage among Turkic tribes celebrated by their own individual historical, geographical and traditional customs.

By the collaborated efforts of Presidency For Turks Abroad And Related Communities and Anadolu University, it was aimed to celebrate Nowruz with Turkic nations altogether. In the event, Nowruz traditions such as forging on anvil, mixing keşkek, nowruziyyah and gift giving was executed and a Nowruz-themed exhibition was held.

On March 21, 2019, The Nowruz events was held in Eskişehir, which was also chosen as the culture capital of Turkic world, by Anadolu University Turkic World Science, Culture and Art Center with the attendance of many people from the Turkic world.
